Efteling

Maandag, 20 augustus 2007. Eerste dag van onze vakantie in NL. Vooruitzichten zijn geweldig. Not. De blauwe hemel was toegedekt met een grijze deken. Was vroeg in de morgen bij Bella gaan liggen. "Het regent, schatje" "Oh, gaan we dan niet naar de Efteling, Pap?" "Laten we het eerste even met mama bespreken." Toch maar gegaan. Een beetje regen kunnen we wel hebben. En bij pijpestelen bekijken we dan wel weer wat we gaan doen. Het was een heerlijke dag in de Efteling. Slechts twee buitjes. Maakt het schuilen nog gezellig en romantisch, zo onder het struikgewas en de bomen. De gekke drukte werd ons bespaard en bij de activiteiten stonden geen rijen. Ongewoon. Door het sprookjesbos, in het sprookjes theater (De Sprookjesboom), in De Lavenaar, naar de Python en in het Efteling theater hebben we vooral in de Marerijk en Ruigerijk veel leuke dingen gezien. Monday, Aug 20th 2007. First day of our vacation in The Netherlands. The prospects are excellent. Not! Grey clouds covered the blue sky. In the early morning I pitched the bad news to Bella. “It’s raining, Bel” “Oh, we are not going to the Efteling, are we, Dad?” “Let’s discuss it with Mam first, oke?” Well, we went for it. We can take a bit of rain. And when there is a downpour, we’ll see what we’ll do then. It ended up to be a lovely day at the Efteling. Only a few wet moments. Shelter from the rain under trees and bushes makes it cozy and romantic. No craziness and long queues at the activities. Very unusual. We’ve seen all the cool things in the fairy-tale forest. Watched The Fairy Tree in the fairy-tale theatre. Took the Snail Train in the ‘Lavenaar’ and the Python in ‘Ruigerijk’ and finished the day in the Efteling-theatre, where Tika, the daughter of Tita-Tovenaar, celebrated her birthday with us.
